We know in our minds that the calendar says Spring is coming! The daffodils and the hyacinths are getting ready to burst with their colorful beauty. Yet, with the multitude of Nor’easter storms lately, we are doubtful! We know that God in His infinite wisdom planned for the seasons, and we look forward to Spring with much anticipation. It is a time of rebirth and renewal, of Christ’s victory over death and our assurance of eternal life when we trust in Him as Our Lord and Savior.
Our annual Women’s Breakfast is a time to step away from the distractions and the busyness of our lives and gather with friends and family once again to enjoy good food, friendship, and fellowship. Our theme this year is asking each of us a question: Are we “Too Stressed to be Blessed?” Is our life a witness to others of the joy and victory of being a Christ follower? Do our actions and words convey our love to others? Do they show God’s countless blessings that have been showered upon us? We will turn to God’s Word and be reminded of His Promises on how we can be victorious in Christ against the stresses in our daily lives so that indeed we can proclaim that we are Too Blessed to be Stressed! Romans 12:12 tells us “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
